Meet Rebecca, the reins behind Little Olive Hill Stables. A horse lover since she was a toddler, Rebecca grew up riding dressage and jumping in rural Germany & Holland.
After moving to the United States at 15 years old, she continued taking lessons, paying for her training as a working student at a large barn, and riding on and off throughout her adult life. Eventually, she left a high-stress, top-earning career to slow down and invest in her true passion – riding horses and teaching lessons.
When she’s not at the barn, you can find Rebecca tending to her garden and chickens, going to the gym, hiking with her dogs, enjoying local wineries, and dabbling in the fine arts and new travel adventures.
Imported 16.2hh Hanoverian gelding from Germany. He has won several events, including the High Adult Jumper division championship and the 1.20m class at International Omaha Horse Show. He is now being developed in dressage and makes a great lesson for an advanced rider.
Bailey is a 15hh Quarter Horse mare and a former brood mare and trail horse from Hart Quarter Horses in Texas. She is now a calm horse for all ages – beginner friendly lesson horse and she enjoys small jumps and being the star of kids birthday parties.
Montana is a 15.2hh Quarter Horse mare who previously worked on a cattle ranch in Arizona. She is sweet and gentle with a slightly sassy attitude and with a swish of her tail and a shake of her head, she’s great at teaching our beginner riders and is Rebecca’s personal favorite.
River is a 16hh gelding and an all time favorite at Little Olive Hill Stables. He is a former cattle ranch cutting horse and possibly did some barrel racing in his past. He has an extremely calm demeanor, and yet he is fast, making him an extremely fun ride for an advanced beginner to intermediate rider.
Nova is 17.1hh Thoroughbred mare. She previously worked on a cattle ranch and was also used as a trail horse. She has a very gentle calm personality and is currently being developed in lateral arena work and makes the perfect lesson horse for an intermediate to advanced beginner. Her large size makes her ideal for a taller student.
